Welcome to Lift Hazelwood. We know that choosing a primary school is one of the most important decisions you will make for your children and family.
We are a one form entry striving to continually build on our current strengths delivering the remarkable lives vision for each and every child. In addition to our dynamic, creative and well qualified teaching staff we have an excellent team of teaching assistants who work across the school, supporting and enhancing children’s learning.
All our staff are highly committed and dedicated to providing pupils with high quality learning opportunities, in all aspects of the curriculum. Additional support staff in school take immense pride in their work and also make a strong contribution to the high standards we maintain at Lift Hazelwood.
We are very proud of the successes of our school – the excellent relationships we have with families and friends within our community and of the staff, children and parents who work hard to make our school a happy place where we can learn together in friendship. Our strong relationships are highlighted by the additional support we receive from parent helpers and grandparents and friends of the school.
At Lift Hazelwood the relationships between the staff and students are phenomenal. Staff have high expectations, are ambitious for the students and they know them well.

Every year we schedule plenty of opportunities to get to know the children who apply to Lift Hazelwood, and their families too. Also, arranging time for you to meet our staff, explore our school and start getting ready for joining us fully in September.

Hello! I’m Ms. Kobayashi, and I will be your child’s Reception class teacher. I have several years of experience in early years education. I am passionate about preparing every child for their future education and life by creating a safe, nurturing, and enriching learning environment. I believe that the early years are vital to a child’s learning journey, providing the foundation for success in Key Stage 1 (KS1) and beyond.
In my classroom, children learn best through exploration, collaboration, and play. They will enjoy hands-on, creative activities including, but not limited to water and sand play, nature walks, imaginative role play and story time.
These experiences help children develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills while having fun and encouraging curiosity.
Outside the classroom, I love reading, drawing, and spending time with friends. These interests often inspire the creative activities and stories I share with the class.
I am excited to work in partnership with parents and carers. Together, we will support every child, ensuring they feel confident, valued, and eager to learn. I can’t wait to be a part of your child’s educational journey at Lift Hazelwood!
