Health and wellbeing

At Lift Hazelwood we recognise the importance of positive mental health and well being for staff, pupils and parents and the impact that they have on our happiness, life satisfaction and positive functioning.

Support in school

There are specific targeted sessions weekly which promote ways for students to explore and understand how they can improve their wellbeing.

At our school, your child’s happiness and mental health are at the heart of everything we do, as we believe that when pupils feel supported, they can truly thrive. Each week, we host dedicated wellbeing sessions where pupils can explore practical ways to manage stress, build resilience, and discover what helps them feel their best. If a child feels worried or overwhelmed during the school day, they can always turn to a familiar face for guidance. For those needing more tailored care, we offer specialised support through our ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) sessions and provide access to a specialist play-therapist who attends the school weekly. Should further assistance be required, we work hand-in-hand with trusted external agencies to ensure every pupil receives the expert help they need.

Your wellbeing matters. If you’re facing challenges or simply want to take care of your mental and physical health, there are plenty of resources available to help.
